General Purpose

Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing, the Systems & Training is responsible for leading the effective administration, optimization, and user adoption of procurement systems and tools. This role provides functional leadership in the areas of Oracle Purchasing, Bonfire e-procurement, OneForm and SharePoint-based knowledge management, while designing and delivering training programs to support staff across the University.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise procurement systems including Oracle Purchasing and Bonfire.
  • Maintain system configuration, workflows, roles and permissions to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Design, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for procurement systems and processes.
  • Create role-based learning materials including user guides, job aids and online content.
  • Promote user adoption through clear, accessible and engaging training approaches.
  • Manage Procurement SharePoint sites including site structure, permissions and content governance.
  • Support compliance with University policies, public sector procurement requirements and audit standards.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and system-related projects.

 

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Systems or a related field. Combined with 3-6 years of experience. 
  • Purchasing designation including but not limited to SCMP, CPPO, NIGP-CPP, CFSP\CFSMM or CSCL.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver effective training and documentation.

  • High standard of business ethics and accountability.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively assess, analyze and summarize information in a complex environment.

  • Critical thinking and reasoning.

  • Relationship building skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and support multiple stakeholders.

Professional/Managerial Salary Bands 
The target hiring salary for this position is minimum and up to 96% of midpoint for the salary grade.
